Timber Framed Buildings
Timber framed buildings are built in the traditional way using heavy timber uprights which are connected together with a head plate and sole plate. The outside is then clad with a boarding of some sort, usually shiplap or featheredge, but there are many different options available. The studwork can also be covered over internally as well if required using plasterboard or possibly plywood. If the building needs to be warm, then you can also infill the gaps between the studwork with insulation as is done in a modern timber framed house.
