This 6x14m mobile home twin chassis is 2 "paired" steel chassis for a "double unit" mobile home. It comprises of 2 traditional twin wheel 3m x 14m mobile home chassis which are positioned side by side. They are extremely strong and very manoeuvrable for precise positioning. However, they are not road legal - the wheels are for moving the building on private land only.

These steel chassis are of a modular construction and therefore suitable to support almost any building. Whether that is a timber framed building, steel framed building or a log cabin construction.

 

There are various structural element possibilities but this 6x14m mobile home twin chassis come with -

• Fully welded joints
• Tow point
• Diagonal bracing to keep the chassis and therefore the building on top square
• Black spray paint finish (options for galvanising)
• Twin axles on each chassis
• Jack legs on each corner of each chassdis to ensure stability when "parked".

The Caravan Act

These steel chassis enable us to build our log cabins on top of them and fully comply with "The Caravan Act". There are certain limitations within The Caravan Act that you need to comply with. But the 6x10m mobile home twin chassis are well within any legal limits in this law.

Various chassis options for various site conditions

These prefabricated chassis trailers are ideally if you have good access onto your site. But if access is tight or extremely tricky, then we do also offer knock-down kits as well which are ready to assemble on site. We even offer chassis kits that do not require you to even have a level site! It is also worth noting that the knock-down kits are much cheaper to transport. The larger pre-fabricated chassis not only require a very large lorry but many also require an escort vehicle for the lorry as well. And this of course adds extra cost. The alternative knock-down kits still require a large (long) lorry but they don't take up the full lorry bed nor are there any overhanging parts so no escort vehicle required either. But they do require on site labout to assemble them after delivery, which is a fairly simple process.
